This was SO fun! The kids were excited to design their own pumpkin. They did not put their names on anything and then got a different student’s descriptive writing and had to go out into the hallway and match the writing to the pumpkin. This was the cutest thing ever! I will do this every year.

My class had so much fun with this writing project. I like how it breaks the writing process down into steps. That really helped even my most struggling writers. We had a presentation at the end to guess each other’s pumpkins and the students were so engaged. Now they are hanging in the hallway for others to enjoy as well.
