Q: I am getting this ready for my students for this Friday. How many pennies? Paper clips? cotton balls?
A: So these materials are all chosen with a “students will use what they use” approach. For STEM, you want students to think outside the box on how to create the project – not have a blue-print to follow. You can have all those materials, some of those materials or add in different materials. The point being, students need to think of how to construct something. You are only laying these materials out for them if they see a need in their design. If not, they won’t use them. All of the designs created should be unique. Hope that helps!

I love doing STEM activities in my room and this resource was perfect! It was easy to plan and implement. I actually forgot to brings Peeps the morning of, so I Door Dashed them. The driver thought it was hilarious and sounded like a lot of fun. When we finished all of them, the kids were asking “When are we going to do more?”
