Q: I noticed you said that these were for grades 2-4. But I am Seeing people leave reviews from 1st grade to 7th grade. What is the reading level for these passages?

A: Great question! I have created these for use in my 3rd grade classroom. For me, 2nd grade would need a slow gradual release to do these. 3rd grade should be able to do most, if not all, independently. These would be great for 4th grade review. That’s how I tag the grade levels. Other teachers use these with their high ability first graders (I would think) and then many use my materials with students with special needs because I differentiate many of my products. So I’m guessing a 7th grader using this would be someone with an IEP. Hope that helps!

Q: I have just purchased, but how do I make this work for Google Slides?

A: You will click on the zip file that says “Main Idea and Supported Details – Drive or Seesaw.” It will open a Google and Seesaw folder. The images are for Seesaw, but if you click the Google Main Idea pdf, a blue link is there. Click on A-M or N-Z and it will ask you to make a copy in Drive. You may need to click on the pdf first. If that doesn’t work, email me at elementaryisland@gmail.com.
